Desjardins: a word about us

“We would like, first of all, to thank you for the confidence you have in us and for this sum of money offered which is quite considerable.

The first question would be: What do you think about the participation of a female robotics group in a field generally dominated by men?

Pauline Cailliau (Sustainable Development and Community Relations Advisor):

I see it as a progress and the fact that you’re an all girls establishment offer the possibility to go towards robotics, unlike a mixed institution where the boys might have stormed this field and the girls would not be so sure to direct towards it, but you, you quickly realized that it can be the case too and you excel there. For me, it’s really a step forward.

Yves Gibeau (Executive Director of the Caisse Desjardins Bordeaux-Cartierville-Saint-Laurent),

I would say that it is very important that we encourage you, because I cannot believe that in 2019 we would still discriminate women. On the contrary, I even think that you are able to demonstrate most of your abilities and that you have your place in this area.

The second question would be: we would also like to know what we could bring to your company in terms of visibility during competitions.

Pauline Cailliau:

Thank you in advance because the visibility is pretty good. You represent us with a lot of dynamism and creativity at every competition. For having seen them at our AGM, during the competitions too. And we come back every year because the visibility satisfies us it’s not badly assured, I mean the logo that is found on the robot, in kiosks during the competition, you are good ambassadors, and your presentation at the GEA, really very good.

Yves Gibeau:

It is necessary to invest in our young people who want and who have talent.

And finally, for the third question: Could you say a word about us?

Pauline Cailliau:

Me it’s the dynamism that amazes me about you. It is the energy that you release, creativity, excellence. We recognize the quality. We believe in you.

Yves Gibeau:

Your team spirit, I think is that if you win every year the cup and you go away from year to year is because you are able to work in a team.
